About US

Welcome to the Institute of Higher Islamic Research (IHIR)

IHIR  is the pioneering initiative under the KNM Markazudawa, designed to identify and cultivate talent with the erudition, vision, and organizational skills necessary to lead society and community. Located at Azhinjilam on the Ramanatukara Kozhikode Bypass Road, IHIR was inaugurated on September 10, 2014, by Dr. PK Abdul Aziz, the former Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University.

About Our Program

Our program is a comprehensive two-year postgraduate course, spread across four semesters. It is a fully residential course, ensuring that students are immersed in an environment conducive to intensive learning and personal development.

Key Features:

- State-of-the-Art Facilities: Our institution provides modern study and accommodation facilities. Each student receives an iPad loaded with textbooks and reference materials.

- Monthly Scholarship: Students benefit from a monthly scholarship, supporting their academic journey.

- Expert Faculty: Our faculty comprises distinguished scholars who are experts in various Islamic disciplines.

- Multilingual Learning: Students have the opportunity to learn Arabic, English, and Urdu, in addition to their mother tongue, Malayalam.

- Technological Integration: Our curriculum includes the application of modern technology to enhance learning.

Course Admission:

- Eligibility: Candidates who have completed a BA in Afzal-ul-Ulama or hold an equivalent qualification are eligible to apply.

- Admission Process: Admission is granted based on performance in an entrance test followed by an interview.

- Intake: We admit 15 candidates each year.
